Women’s League Monthly Meeting, September 2025
Women’s League members include UPS alumnae, neighbors and interested community members, and parents of current, future, or former students. Throughout the academic year, we gather monthly on campus for lunch or evening programs.
Our primary purpose, in addition to the valued relationships members develop over our shared goals, is to support Puget Sound students by raising funds to provide scholarships. Our scholarship endowment principal totals nearly $1.4 million, and the earnings from that account enabled us to award $53,900 to fourteen students for the 2023-2024 academic year, an average of $3,850 per student. Over the years since 1982, the Women’s League has awarded scholarships to more than 350 grateful students seeking financial assistance.
At our meetings students, faculty, or staff members are invited to our luncheon or evening meetings to present information about what’s happening at the university. We enjoy a musical performance by a current School of Music student, reminisce about past activities from our long history, and we attend to our Women’s League business. At our meetings, we also collect non-perishable food for the student food pantry. All are welcome!
