Logger Link Live: ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Sharing Knowledge Networking Event
You’ve been ASK-ing for it—and we’re delivering! ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Sharing Knowledge (ASK) Night is back and reimagined as Logger Link Live—an open networking event on Thursday, October 9 from 4:00–5:30 p.m. in the Trimble Forum. This casual gathering brings Puget Sound’s mentorship community in-person, creating space for students and alumni to connect, share experiences, and spark conversations about career paths, life after college, and the many ways a Logger education can shape what comes next.
This year’s conversation topics include:
- Entrepreneurship, Start-Ups, and Side Hustles - Starting your own business can be risky, but very rewarding when successful. Talk with others who might have an interest in entrepreneurship, becoming a tech innovator, or simply turning their hobby into a side-hustle.
- Graduate School - Students sometimes wonder if they should consider grad school as an option. Chat about making the decision to attend, any obstacles faced, and any tips and tricks for the search and admission process.
- Major does not equal career! - For many people, our job isn't related to our college major. Join this conversation to talk about transferable skills and non-linear career paths.
- General Networking Practice - Both students and alumni may feel some level of awkwardness when practicing the art of networking. Join this conversation to practice your "elevator pitch" and learn how to network like a pro!
- Studying or Working Abroad - Did you study abroad or work abroad - or want to? Chat with attendees about the realities of broadening your educational or work horizons internationally.
- Navigating Post-College Life - Are you a champion at "adulting" or still figuring it out yourself? Talk about what life is like post-college and any tips you have for success.
What to Expect:
The event will feature themed conversation areas hosted by alumni volunteers. Students can move freely between topics that interest them most—whether it’s learning how to translate a major into unexpected career paths, exploring options for grad school, or hearing firsthand what it’s like to launch a start-up. The format is casual and flexible: stop by a table, join the discussion, and then rotate to another topic at your own pace.
Come ready to share, listen, and make connections that strengthen our Logger community!
