
Adjunct Professor, Art and Art History
Vincent Samudovsky works in drawing and painting as well as mixed media. His work ties together the real, the imaginary and the symbolic to investigate time, place, sound, and travel. He earned his BFA in Painting and Drawing from University of Washington (2011), and his MFA in Painting from Boston University College of Fine Arts (2023). He was a resident at Hewnoaks Artist Residency in Lovell, Maine (2022), a participant in the Summer Painting Intensive program at Tyler School of Art (2019), and a fellow at VCCA鈥檚 Moulin 脿 Nef in Auvillar, France through Yale University (2010). In 2023, he participated in Boston University鈥檚 Race, Prison, Justice Arts (RPJA) program, resulting in a collaborative book project that brought together artwork and writings from BU students and people currently and formerly incarcerated. He has exhibited in the United States and abroad, including at Morgan Lehman Gallery, New York, NY; The Stella Elkins Tyler Galleries, Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA; Stone Gallery, Boston University, Boston, MA; Moulin 脿 Nef, Auvillar, France; Jacob Lawrence Gallery, University of Washington, Seattle, WA; Betty Rymer Gallery, Chicago, IL among others.
